Gomerino Hotel

Gomerino Hotel

The Gomerino Hotel is Valletta's latest luxury offering in one of the first nobility palaces to grace St.Paul's street.

- 44 luxuriously finished double bedrooms.
- Indoor Pool, Sauna, Fitness Centre and Spa
- Rooftop Pool and Bar Deck with Majestic views of Valletta's Grand Harbour

The Noble Testaferrata Abela family were granted the Gomerino title by Grand Master Ramon Perellos y Rocafull in 1710 as Barons of Gomerino, (Gomerino being another name for Ghemmieri near Rabat, where the family held large tracts of land).

The palace is designed to reflect the glory of the family's noble history with a particular feminine touch paying respects to the many Baronesses of Gomerino that made the palace their home including Giovanna, Beatrice, Gaetana, Teodora, Antonia and Domenica.

In its later history the building was adapted to become a tenement block to become an important source of income for the Testaferrata Abela family in the early British period.

The palace was recently taken over by Allelon Hospitality, Valletta's leading luxury hotel operator and restored to its former glory.

Come and join us to experience living like true Nobility in one Valletta's most outstanding Baroque Palazzos.

We hope to host you soon

Valletta is changing from a historic monument into a vibrant European city

Valletta, the capital of the Maltese Islands and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a 16th century fortified city built on a headland and adjoined by two busy harbours, the modern port of Marsamxett to the north and the Grand Harbour to the south. Palais Le Brun is located on old bakery street, which is corner with Republic Street, Valletta´s central pedestrianised main-street. Various Bourgeoisie Cafés, Restaurants, Eateries and Bars line most of Valletta´s streets and alleyways alongside numerous museums, palaces, pjazzas, churches and theatres.

A lively mature night scene has also sprouted out of the city´s side-streets with themed bars offering live music in a unique setting. Valletta is also a Mediterranean centre for the arts, with the Manoel Theatre, a 17th century Baroque Theatre showcasing various pantomimes, plays, Operas and Orchestral recitals. St.James Cavalier serves as a modern home to cult cinema and contemporary art exhibitions while the Mediterranean Conference Centre and The Open-Air Theatre accommodate larger audiences. The City´s streets and its piazzas serve as a location for events on a grand scale such as Notte Biance, Science in the City.
